I’m sorry for this, but I saw this gif, and it’s incredibly beautiful, but it also inspired me to share the following.
Little known fact: I’m afraid on Ferris Wheels. They’re beautiful, don’t get me wrong, and it’s not that I’m afraid of heights…I’m actually totally cool with heights. It’s just specifically Ferris Wheels.
When I was little, I went to Argentina to visit my uncle. He brought me to a carnival, and I went on a Ferris Wheel with my two cousins, both boys, and both older than me. It was a scary Ferris Wheel, because it was like a tea-cup on a Ferris Wheel. There was this pillar thing in the middle that would make the entire car spin. It was fun at first. Then, they made it spin so fast that I started to feel like I was going to fly out of it, so I begged them to stop, and they did…so abruptly, that I fell out of my seat onto the floor of the cart. Then, they tease me for being scared. Then they thought it would be a good idea to grab the pillar and shake it, until the entire car started rattling and swaying.
Urgh, Ferris Wheels….urgh, stupid pre-pubescent boys.
